I have been agonising over the title for this shot. It holds some elusive meaning for me that I can not verbalise. The lack of symmetry associated with this style of shots, the imbalance of light and the noticeable tilt of the shot trumpets the many mistakes.
Yet somehow it feels right to me. Not perfection, but a sense of completion in the overall feel.

Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale,by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.“

With an aching in my head
I lay motionless in bed
The night is here and the day is gone
And the world spins madly on“

In the past months I have moved from darker styled photos to brighter “cheerier” photos. It’s nice to know that I haven’t lost my touch with the darker stuff despite the new learning journey. This is one of the more common dark/light pictures but I like the soft spread of the light.

The winds were whipping up in Adelaide and the rainy gloom clouds (not gloomy rain clouds) were making everyone scowl. But it felt like they were scowling at the me and the camera in my hands.

Alright, we won’t shoot the messenger, but the photographer has to die.
